A new day, a new smoothie. You kind of get a mixture of Christmas and Summer with this smoothie, the warming cinnamon gives a spicy note to the cooling summer flavours of strawberry, raspberry and blueberries, just right for these dark January mornings.
Makes approximately 300ml / Serves 2
- 200ml cold water
- 2 tablespoons of natural yogurt
- 80-100g of frozen berries
- One quarter of a teaspoon of cinnamon
Pop it all in your blender and whizz until smooth, add a little more water if you prefer a thinner drink or would like to make it stretch further.
I like to use frozen fruit in these recipes, particularly out of season as imported fruit is expensive and often quite tasteless. You can purchase a bag of frozen summer berries for around £2 for 500g* compared to £2 for a 150g of blueberries on their own which makes using frozen fruit a much more affordable option to help put a healthy breakfast on the table.
